Indian Motocycle Manufacturing Company

Indian is an American brand of motorcycles[1][2] originally produced from 1901 to 1953 in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States. Hendee Manufacturing Company initially produced the motorcycles, but the name was changed to the Indian Motocycle Manufacturing Company[1][2] in 1928.

The Indian factory team took the first three places in the 1911 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy. During the 1910s, Indian became the largest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world. Indian's most popular models were the Scout, made from 1920 to 1946, and the Chief, made from 1922 until 1953, when the Indian Motocycle Manufacturing Company went bankrupt. Various organizations tried to perpetuate the Indian Brand name in subsequent years, with limited success.

In 2011, Polaris Industries purchased Indian Motorcycles and moved operations from North Carolina and merged them into their existing facilities in Minnesota and Iowa. Since August 2013, Polaris has marketed multiple modern Indian motorcycles that reflect Indian's traditional styling.

Custom Builder Eddie Meeks Quantum Leap

It took four years and 2200 man hours to build this one-off custom since most of its parts were designed and milled by Eddie Meeks.

Quantum Leap features rear wheel steering via a series of hydraulic pistons.

Very few parts on Quantum Leap weren't designed and fabricated by renaissance man, Eddie Meeks.

Features like an internal throttle and clutch, air suspension and 360 brakes constitute a clean and tidy custom motorcycle.

Quantum Leap has sleek, streamlined bodywork made of nickel plating.

Quantum Leap ranks as one of the most intriguing custom motorcycles we’ve come across in a long time.

Under Quantum Leap's bodywork is a tubular frame with a touch of flat steel that houses a 101 cubic-inch Patrick Racing V-Twin fed by a Mikuni carb.

Quantum Leap, by Eddie Meeks, turns conventialism on its head with its front wheel drive and rear wheel steering.

2012 VULCAN 1700 NOMAD ABS

Cruise ... in Style

As part of Kawasaki's latest evolution of big bore V-Twin cruisers, the Vulcan 1700 Nomad ABS shares the same 1700cm³ single overhead cam long stroke engine with the rest of the Vulcan 1700 line, but like the flagship Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS, it's tuned to deliver maximum torque and power at a slightly higher rpm to reflect its intention for the open road.

Like the previous Nomad model, the 2010 model features hard saddlebags, passenger backrest and floorboards, large windscreen, fork mounted air deflectors, cruise control and Kawasaki's fully electronic throttle valve (ETV) system. Unlike the previous model, there's now K-ACT ABS.
