SEPANG 17 Feb. - Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd. (Boon Siew Honda), menyasarkan penjualan 200 buah motosikal Honda CBR 250R tahun ini setelah mula diperkenalkan di pasaran Malaysia hari ini.

Motosikal berkelas superbike itu diperkenalkan di Thailand pada Oktober 2010, kini dibawa masuk secara kenderaan siap bina (CBU) dan dijual dengan dua versi iaitu CBR 250R standard pada harga RM18,799 seunit dan CBR 250R ABS pada harga RM21,799 seunit.

Pengarah Urusan Boon Siew Honda, Shoichi Harada berkata, motosikal itu menwarkan keselesaan pemanduan, kelajuan, mampu milik dan pelepasan karbon dioksida yang rendah.

''Pada tahun ini motosikal itu dibawa masuk secara CBU dan kita sedia untuk mempertimbangkan bagi pemasangan komponen terurai CKD,'' kata beliau.

Beliau berkata demikian pada sidang akhbar pada Majlis Pelancaran dan Pandu Uji CBR 250R di Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (SIC).

Pada sidang akhbar itu juga, Harada berkata, pihaknya tidak bercadang memperkenalkan model baharu Honda CBR 150R untuk pasaran Malaysia.''Setakat ini kami mahu menggantikannya dengan model Honda CBR 250R,'' kata beliau lagi.

Menggunakan enjin penyejuk cecair 250cc empat lejang DOHC satu silinder yang menepati piawaian emisi Euro 3.Sistem minyak menggunakan teknologi Honda yang terkenal iaitu PGM-FI dan sensor 02 dengan catalyzer dalam ekzos.

Menurutnya model CBR ini turut dilengkapi dengan sistem ABS yang berupaya membantu penunggang mengawal sistem brek, menjadikannya model motosikal 250 cc pertama di dunia dilengkapi dengan sistem itu.

“ABS diperkenalkan dalam model CBR250R ini bagi memenuhi kepuasan pelanggan disamping meningkatkan kecekapan dan tahap keselamatan penunggang,” katanya.

Turut hadir pada majlis pelancaran berkenaan Pengarah Urusan dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Boon Siew Honda, Shoichi Harada

Dhoom  is a Bollywood film and the first installment in the Dhoom series. It is produced by Yash Raj Films' Aditya Chopra (son of Yash Chopra) and was released in 2004. Earning over Rs. 42 crore ($9 million USD), the film became one of the top-grossing Indian films of 2004. This was the first action film made by Yash Raj Films in 19 years, since Vijay (1988), and brought in a new genre of movies akin to the fast paced motorcycle-robbery dramas. Its sequel, Dhoom 2, was released in 2006 in India, and Dhoom 3 is set to release in 2013.

Synopsis:

The story starts in the city of Mumbai where a motorcycle gang starts breaking into banks and other public places and vanishing on the Western Express Highway.

ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) a no-nonsense cop, is called inside the case. He is married to Sweety (Rimi Sen). Jai seeks the help of a thief named Ali (Uday Chopra) and devises a trap to catch the gang, but it fails. Kabir (John Abraham), the leader of the gang, eventually taunts Dixit by saying that he couldn't catch him even if he were right in front of him. He is proved correct and the failure of Dixit seemingly leads to the break-up of his partnership with Ali.

Kabir then lures Ali into his gang to take place of Rohit, the gang member who was killed by Jai. Ali falls in love with Sheena (Esha Deol), another gang member. The gang later goes to Goa to perform one last big heist before becoming disbanded forever. Kabir now sets his eyes on the biggest casino in all of India. Kabir and his gang swiftly loot the casino on New Year's Eve, but soon they realize that Jai has led them right into a trap. Ali was working for Jai the whole time and a fight ensues.

Kabir manages to escape from Jai, and goes back to the gang's truck where Ali has tied up Sheena. Kabir then viciously beats up Ali for his betrayal, but Ali is saved by the timely arrival of Jai at the scene. The gang minus Sheena flees, while Jai and Ali give chase. All the gang members sans Kabir are killed by Jai and Ali. Kabir tries to escape on his bike. He is then cornered by Jai and Ali with nowhere to go. So Kabir decides to commit suicide rather than let Jai arrest him, and rides his bike over the edge of a cliff and into the water. The movie ends with Jai and Ali bickering as usual. It is hinted at the end that Sheena will be arrested.

In the holiday spirit of not taking things too seriously, here’s a curve ball to throw into the Bike EXIF mix. A lot of strange contraptions come my way, but this Rotax-engined number is one of the most extreme motorcycles I’ve seen for a while. It’s built by Jim Davis of MotoMorphic—based in San Rafael, California and costs $100,000 or more, according to specification.

Inspiration apparently came from ‘four seemingly disparate things: streetfighters, a fat tire, American muscle cars, and fighter planes.’ The design started with the tires, namely Avon’s Venom: There’s a 250 on the front and a whopping 300×35/18 at the back. So does it handle? ‘There are a few idiosyncrasies with the JaFM,’ say MotoMorphic, ‘but nothing that precludes the enjoyment of the ride. Due to the wide nature of the front tire, the JaFM tends to stand up under front trail braking. It can easily be compensated for, and trail braking should be exercised with caution on any motorcycle.’

Bangkok, Thailand, January 10, 2012 - AP Honda Co., Ltd plans to sell in Thailand the Click 125i, the new 125-cc sports scooter based on the Thai-manufactured 110-cc Click-i, starting in January 2012.

The Click 125i is the first model to be equipped with eSP, Honda’s newly developed 125-cc global engine for scooters, which boasts improved durability, quietness, and high fuel efficiency.

The Click 125i presents a sporty design with aggressive and innovative looks based on the image of the new engine featuring cutting-edge technology and an exhilarating ride, while inheriting the “slim & sharp” concept of the Click-i.

The Click began in 2006 with the debut in Thailand of the Click 110 sports scooter. A new model equipped with the PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) system was launched in 2008, achieving a high-level balance between riding performance and fuel efficiency. The Click series models have enjoyed widespread popularity in the Thailand sports scooter market.

Honda plans to install the eSP global engine for scooters on a wide range of 125-cc scooter models that will be launched in various countries throughout the world starting in 2012.

Plot Summary

Daredevil biker smashes Harley jump world record

Daredevil motorbike rider Seth Enslow has smashed the world record for the longest distance jumped on a Harley-Davidson.

He managed a leap between ramps of 55.99 metres - easily beating Bubba Blackwell's previous world record of 47.85 metres set in Las Vegas in 1999.

The stunt took place at Barangaroo, on Sydney harbour, today and is measured in feet because the previous records have been set in the US.

Asked if Enslow would now try to push the record further in future, a spokesman for Harley-Davidson told AAP: "I'd say so."

"That magical 200 feet mark is not far off and he was pretty comfortable today."

The stunt was 12 months in the planning and Enslow chose Australia for the location because he's got good mates here, the spokesman added.

His bike was pretty much a standard Harley-Davidson, apart from modified suspension.

In a previous attempt at the record, in an indoor arena in the US, Enslow injured himself badly, tearing a number of ligaments in his shoulder.
